Who Is Your God
Joshua 24:14-24
14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

I was reminded today.....
When I was in my early 20's, I went to see Empire Strikes Back. I remember that there were a group of kids that had spent the night at the ticket box so they could get in first. It did not phase me then. I had remembered folk in high school talking about waiting a day and 1/2 to get tickets to a concert. Then we just had the recent PS3 sales where I spoke to a young man in his 20's who was waiting/camping out at Target for 3 days to get a PS3. Today I read where a mother and her small child were waiting in line for over a day with a day to go in order to get one of these new i-phones. It really hit me. What in the world ?????????????!!!! Is this that important to you? Is this truly what you serve and pay homage too. I have not seen anyone following after God on this order. In the New Testament we read about people following Jesus so far out of the towns taht they went days with out food and He had to do the bread and fish miracle thing. See John 6:1-14
Jesus is worth folling after! PS3's and i-phones are not!
Where does my time go? My time, not work, not family obligations, pure free time. Answer, it goes to the things I love to do. Are you any different? What about the time that is not my free time? When I have to choose the thing to do, what gets sacrificed? Time reading the Bible to watch TV? Going to the house of God or fishing. Your time and your money go to the things that you love.
Luke 16:13
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Do you remember the woman who actually died from water intoxification? Hold your wee for a wii contest. A group of people spending the better part of a day for the chance to win a video game.
Folks, you cannot break out of this bondage on your own. You need Jesus. You need an encounter with the Savior. It is not an equal time issue, a day with God a day with the world. The question is: What do you want?
Matthew 6:19-21
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Where are you laying up treasure? Is it in the desires of the things of this world or the one to come, the heavenly kingdom.
For your sake be honest. Tell God and He will help you: deny it , and you get to deal with it your self. And guess what, you cannot deal with it by your self: no one can: NO...ONE...CAN.
Take heart and have hope, Jesus came to help us!
It is the only reason He came. He had no other purpose than our salvation: to destroy the works of satan over our lives that we were sold into.
I pray this word encourage you to seeking His Face and a deeper relationship with Him in prayer, the Word of God, and fellowship with like followers of Christ.
Daniel 6:16

The devil (the god of this world) cannot deliver. Only the Lord can, He is the One we need to serve.

Porn In Spam Email
Like a cockroach looking for cracks to get into your house, satan looks for many ways to get into your path to get you to transgress God's Word.

So, if you are on the job or other places and checking e-mail, what can you do when the spam with porn pops up. I thought I had all those holes plugged when I set my mail client not to display images automatically and not allow java script. Well, I just recently starting getting them again. Most composers now allow you to look at mail that has been composed with a html type editor. This means that someone can embed a picture into the body of the message. There is a work around to screen it though. On thunderbird, there is an option under view to direct how the body of a message is to be viewed, most default to simple html and that is where the pictures are sliding in. Set this to plain text and it will just display the written message and not flash you with something that is an affront to God.
How do these guys find you? Lots of ways, some are your fault and some are others who give up thier phone list to virus ridden programs.
What is your response to it? If it happens, turn away and look for ways to block it. Share your methods with the rest of us.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God I will also forget thy children.
The violence, the impurities, the smoke of this nations sin has reached Heaven. We have but a short time to return to God and ask forgiveness for ourselves and our country.
We have men in their 60's and boys in their early teens committing the most horrid acts you can imagine. But this is just the tip of the iceberg still.
Satan would tell you it is too late and not worth trying. Do not listen to that voice.
You must first come to God and then you can bring the ones that you have contact with.

Paris Hilton Email
Quick intro:
There are many articles out now about Paris getting out of jail and her sharing of the experience. The one I read was in the Houston Chronicle. From reading the quotes she made and the fruits of her life, it is clear that she does not know the character of the God she makes reference too. But she can know God and He can transform her life. Yours also.

And Shall Deceive Many : antichrist
A man has deceived many. His name is José Luis de Jesús Miranda. He is not the only one, but to those who know God and His Word, he is easy to identify.
Jesus said they would come afterward and do this. It is tragic that this man gets to get away with this. But Satan took the Word of God away from them so that they had no understanding of this thing that is happening now. How did Satan get these words of Jesus away from them?
Matthew 24:5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mark 13:6For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Luke 21:8And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
Titus 1:10For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
2 John 1:7For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
How has Satan taken this word of direct and clear warning away from these people that they have been deceived?
Satan did not come and take this word himself. He has no hands himself to steal with. He had to use something. Look at the parable of the sower again.
Matthew 13
1The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
2And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
And Jesus then explains this here
18Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Confirming that Satan used a vessel to take that word out of the hearts of the people. In the parable he used the fowls of the air.
I pray God give you the ability to receive His Word and its transforming power.
Time to take off the gloves: this is real battle.
What does he use in this case. How did he get that word out of their heart? Or how did he intercept it from getting there in the first place?
He used a vessel called the Catholic Church.
Satan took the Word of God away from the people in the earlier days of the Catholic Church by keeping the Word bound in a language that was not understood by the common man. Look at men like Tyndale, Luther, Bunyan and Wycliffe and the price they paid to get the Bible into a form that men could read it.

Open your eyes to the demographics of the followers of this man. Miami based and the countries that have listed him as unwelcome (mostly Central American), and the race of his followers are mainly Latin descent. Those deceived are the children and children's children of the families that have been from the Catholic Church. Please don't shoot me for making an observation about obvious facts.
Those fowls of the air are greedy, they want it all for themselves.
They feast on the word and the praise of men, they gobble up the things of God and leave nothing, not a crumb of teaching of the word for those that are walking in the path of destruction. It allows them to receive this lie. It nurtures and cradles its followers to the doctrines of men.
Does every Catholic Church fit this description? Of course not. But you need to ask a very import question. Am I being taught the whole counsel of God?

When you stand before God, you stand alone or with Jesus. There will not be anyone else to help or blame when you stand before the Maker of the Heavens and the Earth.

They feast on the word and the praise of men, they gobble up the things of God and leave nothing, not a crumb of teaching of the word for those that are walking in the path of destruction. It allows them to receive this lie. It nurtures and cradles its followers to the doctrines of men.
Does every Catholic Church fit this description? Of course not. But you need to ask a very import question. Am I being taught the whole counsel of God?

Rejoice that the people of Texas have opened the door of blessing back
to this state. We have made a place for the Word of God in our schools.
God does honor that effort. Of course you will have satan's regular
minions out there with their vile comments, but some people who love
Jesus have written also. I cannot describe how excited I am that this is
happening. Pastors, congregations, be praying about what part you can
have in this. For those of you in other states, I pray that you receive
this as well. There is enough blessing of God to share everywhere. They
may not let us in to teach or speak, but I can open my house or church
to tutor off campus.

Denying The Lord Jesus
To incorrectly represent someone is to deny their character. I have been in "dialogue" with a man from the LDS (Mormons). In our discourse, I pinned down the one main topic that is fairly common to all religions that claim to be of God and are not: that is the person of Jesus, His Deity, His place in the Triune Godhead from eternity past, His atonement for our sins on the cross.
This man is rather annoyed that I will not take the time to do a deep study of his faith. He cannot understand that I do not need to. What is important, is that I know Jesus. I have a relationship with God through the Lord Jesus and to reject every thing that is not Christ. Just like the people who are trained to spot counterfeit bills. They only handle good money. When something comes along that is not real, they know it.
They have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. That power is Jesus. He is the theme and focus of the Bible. The focus of God's Word is entirely centered on Jesus. If you miss Jesus, you miss life.
The LDS and the Jehovah's Witness's would have you believe that they have Jesus centered in their faith, but they do not. They offer you a misrepresentation of Jesus. Just like you were trying to go from Houston to New York and wound up in San Fransisco. They would be there to argue that you were looking at the Brooklyn Bridge and not the Golden Gate. The Christ they present in their faith is not the one I know from my Bible. My Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Jesus is one with the Father.
John 10:30I and my Father are one.
He is not inferior or the "brother of Satan". (See links from Watchtower site and LDS below)

I have a question. For all those of the Jewish, Islamic, LDS, and other faiths that deny the scriptures and the deity of Christ. Did the founder who wrote your doctrines demonstrate any power besides the ability to beguile many with false doctrine and lead you captive into rituals and things of mans wisdom?
The disciples of Jesus preached the Word with power, signs and wonders confirming their word.
I do not see that power as common as it should be in my Church. But we have the expection of it to happen. Where is your hope?

Bible Classes In Public Schools
Praise God that this measure passed in Texas. Pray for those who will now execute the work. Many are opposed to this of course. Many are allowing Satan to work through them to try to fight this and keep God's Word out of the reach of people. That is a work of Satan. Remember in the parable of the sower, when the seed was sown, the first on the spot were the fowls of the air. Jesus said, this was Satan and he came to take the word out of the hearts of the people that it was sown into. Pray for these people who oppose this measure. Pray the gospel comes to them and pray confusion over the works of the devil that they come to no effect.

Waiting For The Veto
Houston Chronicle reports on the house voting in the hate crimes measure. It would be a great bill if it did not include the repression of free speech against the sin of homo sexual activity.

Beloved, this is not a new issue. It has been since the days of old. The concern is that the scope of the issue has now reached global proportions. Those in Christ do not hate sinners such as homo sexual men and women. They would not hurt them, they would pray for them and express a love for the person and hatred for the sin and what it does to the person.
Consider a victim of cancer and their spouse. One loves their spouse, do they also love the cancer inside them? No, they hate the thing inside them that is killing them. So should all Christians love the sinner and hate the sin.

We Have Arrived
I am sure that folks thought the last 2 World Wars was the beginning of the End Times. They had not seen any conflict to match their experience to date. If they could only see where we are now.
Let us list a few items:
1) Almost all nations have access to knowledge to build nukes and the resources to do it.
2) Same nations in item 1 can also deliver the product to the country of choice.
3) You need a score card and a small database to keep track of the wars in progress and potential wars to come.
4) Look up the amount of violent offenders and the degree/frequency/and scope of events.
5) Consider the current events that has already caused a top US official to resign and the 10,000 more that may be dis-closed on the call girl list published by prime time news.
6) God's Word being caste out of the schools, courts, and other prominent places.
7) The debt built up and money spent on entertainment.
8) Poverty, malnutrition, disease have not and cannot be conquered by man. They are still with us.
9) Divorce, single mothers, and the erosion of the family unit.

This life is just our training ground. Look at Moses and David. Starting at shepherd and quickly rising to lead the nation of Israel (millions). This is the place God wants to promote every believer into. Reading and obeying His Word is the path to take that will transform us into the express likeness of His Son; Christ our Lord. This first life in our mortal bodies is like a vapour James 4:14, but the eternal life to follow with the Lord is dependant on our our relationship with Him now.

Built To Last
How do you perceive things? What is your world like? If your world was tall and skinny, would there be any short wide doors. We build and create based on what we our. Art breaks us out of that box, but for the most part we build and we create based on a set of weights and measures relative to what we experience. God set this pattern in the begining when He made man. Genesis 1:26-27 tells us it was relative to His form and likeness. God is eternal. Learn the attributes of our Lord and our Creator as He shares with us in His Holy Word the Bible.

Book of Numbers
I am awestruck how reading the Word of God over again (book of Numbers)
has made such an impact on my life. Once you have read and retained
great parts of the New Testament scriptures, you really need to go back
and have a detailed study of the OT again. Doing this for about the
10th+ time has made an incredible impact on my understanding of what God
was fore-shadowing to happen in the days we live in now. I have taken
some notes during my 2 chapter a day reading plan and hope to have them
published on this blog in the next few weeks. I encourage you to just
start reading a few chapters a day. If you are a new believer or do not
know the salvation of Jesus, start with the book of John and then the
other Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke) then Acts and the rest of the NT.
Once completed (and received into your spirit), you will have a great
foundation set to understand the OT scriptures and receive the message
that God has been speaking since the foundation of His creation.

Web Ministry (site start-up)
I pray that God puts an urgency in us to reach the lost for Jesus and put the message of His love out there; wherever we go. I believe that we can reach a great deal of people through the Internet. I cannot see it replacing that personal contact, but it can open us up for more contacts and get more people than would be reached by conventional methods. I must not be the only one with this feeling, we now have many churches with web sites and many www ministries out there now.
So, how do you get started on the www. First of all learn that www means world wide web. You will need to figure out a domain name to use that has not been taken, find a web hosting provider that meets your needs and your budget, and determine what you really feel lead to put onto the net.
Assuming you have access to the net yourself, (you really should); you should take the name you want to use and feed it into a whois field from godaddy or some other domain selling organization. Once you find the one you want that is not already taken, it is time to determine what your expectations vs cost are. If $$ = no problem, your in luck, there are a lot of folk out there that will do it all for you.
Pretty sites, lots of content and flash, and tricks to help your site be found in the sea of many fishes. However, if money is an issue or you feel the need to be a better steward; read on.
I had a recent encounter with a group that "specializes" in church ministries. Or so they say. I say they have just found a market niche to tap into. Watch out for your bottom line year to year cost and the value you get after all the initial work is done. How fancy does the site need to be. Content vs presentation. One of this sites flagship pages was what I call a Faberge Egg. Sparkling on the outside and empty on the inside. I have seen a lot of these and have thus coined the description for this kind of site. It is where you click on a link and there are pretty menus all around but no content at all. What I saw on this site as well was also saddening. The Pastors bio was there, but the picture was in black and white. The fonts on the page were all out of sort with the motif of the site. Basically, the menus were all expertly done and the design put down, but the designer leaves the content to be done by the church staff. This demonstrates that they bit off more than they can really chew as far as maintaining the site. It really takes you down a peg to see the unequal efforts and the overall harmony of the site is lost.
But. the real problem is the cost. They get you one way or another. As in my case; this group hits you for setup and initial design. You then spend $20 a month to keep the site up. Don't expect this amount to ever decrease. And with my current example, it also did not include e-mail and they put their logo on the bottom of every page. I was bothered(putting it mildly) about that issue alone. There are many places like godaddy, brinkster, network solutions that allow the average and below average user to get a site up and running, e-mail included for just $4 dollars a month plus $8-15 to register the domain. So, how do you get started on the www. First of all learn that www means world wide web. You will need to figure out a domain name to use that has not been taken, find a web hosting provider that meets your needs and your budget, and determine what you really feel lead to put onto the net.
Assuming you have access to the net yourself, (you really should); you should take the name you want to use and feed it into a whois field from godaddy or some other domain selling organization. Once you find the one you want that is not already taken, it is time to determine what your expectations vs cost are. If $$ = no problem, your in luck, there are a lot of folk out there that will do it all for you.
Pretty sites, lots of content and flash, and tricks to help your site be found in the sea of many fishes. However, if money is an issue or you feel the need to be a better steward; read on.
I had a recent encounter with a group that "specializes" in church ministries. Or so they say. I say they have just found a market niche to tap into. Watch out for your bottom line year to year cost and the value you get after all the initial work is done. How fancy does the site need to be. Content vs presentation. One of this sites flagship pages was what I call a Faberge Egg. Sparkling on the outside and empty on the inside. I have seen a lot of these and have thus coined the description for this kind of site. It is where you click on a link and there are pretty menus all around but no content at all. What I saw on this site as well was also saddening. The Pastors bio was there, but the picture was in black and white. The fonts on the page were all out of sort with the motif of the site. Basically, the menus were all expertly done and the design put down, but the designer leaves the content to be done by the church staff. This demonstrates that they bit off more than they can really chew as far as maintaining the site. It really takes you down a peg to see the unequal efforts and the overall harmony of the site is lost.
But. the real problem is the cost. They get you one way or another. As in my case; this group hits you for setup and initial design. You then spend $20 a month to keep the site up. Don't expect this amount to ever decrease. And with my current example, it also did not include e-mail and they put their logo on the bottom of every page. I was bothered(putting it mildly) about that issue alone. WordPress ver 2.1 has just made it easier than ever for me to have a nice looking blog page with great content offering. If you have a site hosted by some provider that offers you a mysql db, you have all you need. I had about 5 entries in one config file to change and the rest is just sit back and follow the next buttons. :->

God's Word Expels Satan
In the book of Mathew chapter 4. Jesus set the pattern of attaining victory over the enemy when He used the Word of God in answering all of the devils temptations. This is the way we as Christians must respond in order to receive that same victory. Take heed, it is not a formula. Jesus had the Word with the life of submission to God behind it. Christians must live in obedience to that same word to have the same power.

Armed with the Word of God
Many Christians do not take the time to be in God's Word as they should. There are many who do not have any defined study or reading plan. My father was in the Korean War. As a marine who survived 2 separate invasions and many months living on enemy territory, he had to have protection. My father was a sniper, he carried a rifle. It was with him all the time. He knew how to use it and how to care for it. His care for it was a daily routine. It had to always be working for him or it was no use. You do not walk in , sleep in, or occupy the enemy's territory with out your gun. We as Christians occupy the enemy's territory. This world system is Satan's camp and we live in it. Jesus showed us in Matthew 4 how to survive in the enemy's camp. He sent the devil away using the Word of God. How much more do we need that Word in this day that we live? I pray to have a video out on this with an object lesson by the end of the month.

Turn People To Jesus
Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Be one of those stars that turn people to God and salvation through the Lord Jesus.
His Word is the absolute authority on all matters. It is the definition of what is righteous and what constitutes wisdom. The more people you lead to and encourage to read His Word, the more people you will turn and keep for God.
I see among the Church, a lack of discipline to study God's Word and to be faithful to seek His Will for their lives. If that is the state of God's Church, then the surrounding area we are to influence in the things of God will be diminished.

Paths to Destruction: Neglect is the biggest enemy
The Bible has been under major assault for ages and has survived to be the best seller of all times. It is God's Word and directs those truly seeking His counsel to salvation through Jesus. How do so many people reading the same word get so mis-directed? The answer is Satan. He has sowed tares into the good seed that the Master has sown. The result is something that looks like wheat, but is not. The Watch Tower(Jehovah's Witnesses), Mormons, and The Catholic Church have all become a forum to introduce error and false doctrine into the lives of people who need Jesus. The purpose of the Bible is to point people to Jesus. These groups point you to everything but Jesus or they diminish the person of Christ to the point of heresy. The Lord has spoken to me in prayer and through His Word on this subject for some time. I will be posting another video sharing this word by the end of January. Please be in prayer over these groups. Satan has blinded them to the person of Christ and the greatness of the Lord Jesus and His atoning work on the cross. They need the Lord. We also must pray for those that they have access and influence over as well. God's Word will survive the attacks, the distortions and the re-writes (new translations). What it cannot survive is neglect. Neglect is the biggest enemy and the one enemy that could bring God's Word to naught in the lives of those that Jesus died for.

Lets start with something easy. All those expensive manger scenes, most are bogus. The Magi were not at the manger when Jesus was born of the virgin Mary. They did not arrive until years later. Mary and Joseph were already back in Nazareth when they brought the gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The problem is that we try to do too much at once and lump up information with out having it all in order. There is a very important message behind the story of the wise men (Magi) that has been lost due to this error. Visit From The Mormons
One of the earliest posts that I submitted to the Google video site was a warning about false doctrine. This video has now had more than 550 viewings and 8 downloads. Downloads are all free by the way. I believe that one third or more may actually view the entire video. I am certain that others do not as they are likely looking for the various spoofs created on Mormon visitation practices, mocking their followers. Just because a person is in error is no reason to satirize their belief or practice, they should be prayed for and given Godly counsel. The Word of God (if you read it) has all the guidelines needed to enable you to know what is and what is not coming from God. The Church of Latter Days Saints is not of God or of our Lord Jesus Christ. Haply enough, this error is basically contained with in the confines of the United States of America where the founder Joseph Smith argues another revelation of Jesus that happened with the North American Indians. Life Styles Of Divorce - Judgement
Instead of going for it on 4th and long. The majority of couples punt. They get a divorce. Problem is that it is so ingrained in people from their youth, it is hard to overcome without the help of the Lord. This post shared with us from the Houston Chronicle online newspaper(http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headline/nation/4438165.html) is just one example in one state of how bad it has gotten. I remember my high school and jr high days. Boys and girls would go steady, be close a few weeks, break up, and do it all over again. Same thing carries over in the adult years, but it lasts a bit longer because all the paper work slows up the process.
Folks remember what Jesus said in Matthew 24
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Even those not serving the Lord, Satan will attack their marriage as it is a type of relation of Christ and His Church. Anything ordained of the Lord is a target for Satan. To attack, to destroy, or to corrupt.
Malachi 2
14Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
15And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
17Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
There are several flash points in the Bible that God, in His sovereign acts, stepped in and brought judgement on the earth or its inhabitants. When Jesus was speaking in Matthew 24, it ws in response to the question of the end of the world and final judgement. Do know that the things that God hates, God will judge.

Word On The Web
I have just published my latest video on Google videos. Perhaps a great deal of folk got shiny new computers and broad band Internet for Christmas. The number of daily hits has increased. I pray that the Word of God is having an impact on peoples lives and they are seeking to known Jesus.
I have had a few debates with folk over entering this domain to reach people with the message of the Gospel and to tell people of the love of Jesus. They are all for it but want to keep balance and also promote one on one witnessing. I am all for that, and so do. But we also need to consider every mission field and the www very much qualifies now. I do encourage any one who comes to know the salvation of the Lord Jesus to become actively involved in their local church and find fellowship with like believers in the word. In this effort, I have been blessed to obtain the domain www.allthegospel.org to use and I hope to add most of my content through that site. I pray that the hand of the Lord be upon you.
