21 And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD.
22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
23 Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
24 And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
I was reminded today.....
When I was in my early 20's, I went to see Empire Strikes Back. I remember that there were a group of kids that had spent the night at the ticket box so they could get in first. It did not phase me then. I had remembered folk in high school talking about waiting a day and 1/2 to get tickets to a concert. Then we just had the recent PS3 sales where I spoke to a young man in his 20's who was waiting/camping out at Target for 3 days to get a PS3. Today I read where a mother and her small child were waiting in line for over a day with a day to go in order to get one of these new i-phones. It really hit me. What in the world ?????????????!!!! Is this that important to you? Is this truly what you serve and pay homage too. I have not seen anyone following after God on this order. In the New Testament we read about people following Jesus so far out of the towns taht they went days with out food and He had to do the bread and fish miracle thing. See John 6:1-14
Jesus is worth folling after! PS3's and i-phones are not!
Where does my time go? My time, not work, not family obligations, pure free time. Answer, it goes to the things I love to do. Are you any different? What about the time that is not my free time? When I have to choose the thing to do, what gets sacrificed? Time reading the Bible to watch TV? Going to the house of God or fishing. Your time and your money go to the things that you love.
Luke 16:13
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Do you remember the woman who actually died from water intoxification? Hold your wee for a wii contest. A group of people spending the better part of a day for the chance to win a video game.
Folks, you cannot break out of this bondage on your own. You need Jesus. You need an encounter with the Savior. It is not an equal time issue, a day with God a day with the world. The question is: What do you want?
Matthew 6:19-21
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Where are you laying up treasure? Is it in the desires of the things of this world or the one to come, the heavenly kingdom.
For your sake be honest. Tell God and He will help you: deny it , and you get to deal with it your self. And guess what, you cannot deal with it by your self: no one can: NO...ONE...CAN.
Take heart and have hope, Jesus came to help us!
It is the only reason He came. He had no other purpose than our salvation: to destroy the works of satan over our lives that we were sold into.
I pray this word encourage you to seeking His Face and a deeper relationship with Him in prayer, the Word of God, and fellowship with like followers of Christ.
Daniel 6:16
16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
The devil (the god of this world) cannot deliver. Only the Lord can, He is the One we need to serve.

Porn In Spam Email
Like a cockroach looking for cracks to get into your house, satan looks for many ways to get into your path to get you to transgress God's Word.

So, if you are on the job or other places and checking e-mail, what can you do when the spam with porn pops up. I thought I had all those holes plugged when I set my mail client not to display images automatically and not allow java script. Well, I just recently starting getting them again. Most composers now allow you to look at mail that has been composed with a html type editor. This means that someone can embed a picture into the body of the message. There is a work around to screen it though. On thunderbird, there is an option under view to direct how the body of a message is to be viewed, most default to simple html and that is where the pictures are sliding in. Set this to plain text and it will just display the written message and not flash you with something that is an affront to God.
How do these guys find you? Lots of ways, some are your fault and some are others who give up thier phone list to virus ridden programs.
What is your response to it? If it happens, turn away and look for ways to block it. Share your methods with the rest of us.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God I will also forget thy children.
The violence, the impurities, the smoke of this nations sin has reached Heaven. We have but a short time to return to God and ask forgiveness for ourselves and our country.
We have men in their 60's and boys in their early teens committing the most horrid acts you can imagine. But this is just the tip of the iceberg still.
Satan would tell you it is too late and not worth trying. Do not listen to that voice.
You must first come to God and then you can bring the ones that you have contact with.

Paris Hilton Email
Quick intro:
There are many articles out now about Paris getting out of jail and her sharing of the experience. The one I read was in the Houston Chronicle. From reading the quotes she made and the fruits of her life, it is clear that she does not know the character of the God she makes reference too. But she can know God and He can transform her life. Yours also.

And Shall Deceive Many : antichrist
A man has deceived many. His name is José Luis de Jesús Miranda. He is not the only one, but to those who know God and His Word, he is easy to identify.
Jesus said they would come afterward and do this. It is tragic that this man gets to get away with this. But Satan took the Word of God away from them so that they had no understanding of this thing that is happening now. How did Satan get these words of Jesus away from them?
Matthew 24:5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mark 13:6For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Luke 21:8And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
Titus 1:10For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
2 John 1:7For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
How has Satan taken this word of direct and clear warning away from these people that they have been deceived?
Satan did not come and take this word himself. He has no hands himself to steal with. He had to use something. Look at the parable of the sower again.
Matthew 13
1The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
2And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
And Jesus then explains this here
18Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Confirming that Satan used a vessel to take that word out of the hearts of the people. In the parable he used the fowls of the air.
I pray God give you the ability to receive His Word and its transforming power.
Time to take off the gloves: this is real battle.
What does he use in this case. How did he get that word out of their heart? Or how did he intercept it from getting there in the first place?
He used a vessel called the Catholic Church.
Satan took the Word of God away from the people in the earlier days of the Catholic Church by keeping the Word bound in a language that was not understood by the common man. Look at men like Tyndale, Luther, Bunyan and Wycliffe and the price they paid to get the Bible into a form that men could read it.

Miami based and the countries that have listed him as unwelcome (mostly Central American), and the race of his followers are mainly Latin descent. Those deceived are the children and children's children of the families that have been from the Catholic Church. Please don't shoot me for making an observation about obvious facts.
Those fowls of the air are greedy, they want it all for themselves.
They feast on the word and the praise of men, they gobble up the things of God and leave nothing, not a crumb of teaching of the word for those that are walking in the path of destruction. It allows them to receive this lie. It nurtures and cradles its followers to the doctrines of men.
Does every Catholic Church fit this description? Of course not. But you need to ask a very import question. Am I being taught the whole counsel of God?

18Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
19It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

When you stand before God, you stand alone or with Jesus. There will not be anyone else to help or blame when you stand before the Maker of the Heavens and the Earth.
