Lets start with something easy. All those expensive manger scenes, most are bogus. The Magi were not at the manger when Jesus was born of the virgin Mary. They did not arrive until years later. Mary and Joseph were already back in Nazareth when they brought the gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The problem is that we try to do too much at once and lump up information with out having it all in order. There is a very important message behind the story of the wise men (Magi) that has been lost due to this error.
